OneWorkSource (Kathy Bishop) and Plattsburgh Housing Authority (Maxine Perry) will be holding a group discussion for our residents in Family Housing on Thursday, April 19th from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at the McGaulley Avenue Community Room (57 McGaulley Avenue, upstairs). FREE PIZZA and First Time Home Buyer Workshop – Thursday, April 12th 6-8 PM (West Side Ballroom)

FREE Community Movie, Dinner and Conversation – Thursday, April 12th (5 – 8 PM)

On Thursday, April 12th at 5 PM in the PHS Auditorium, the movie “Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope” will be shown at an event that is free and open to the public.

The movie is directed by Robert Redford and will be followed by dinner and community conversation in the Plattsburgh High School Cafeteria from 6:35 to 7:45 PM.

PHA Smoke-free Transition Town Hall Meetings – Friday, March 23, 2018

PHA Smoke-Free Transition

On July 30, 2018, the PHA will be going smoke-free in all units, community spaces and any area shared by residents. In addition, you will not be able to smoke within 25 feet of any PHA owned buildings (family housing) or within 40 feet of any PHA owned buildings (senior housing).

Nothing in the policy or the PHA’s transition to smoke-free housing has changed; however, PHA staff will be hold another round of resident meetings if you still have questions or if you would like to learn more about PHA partnered cessation programs. If you would like to quit smoking, we can help!

Below is information on the upcoming FREE Rabies Clinic to be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the City of Plattsburgh Public Works building located at 215 Idaho Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY.

Plattsburgh Housing Authority – Family Housing Parking Lots (Reminder)

Notices were provided to all family housing residents on January 17, 2018 regarding the requirement to move your vehicles out of the PHA parking lots the next business day following a snow storm:

  • YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR VEHICLE(S) FROM ALL PHA PARKING LOTS BY 9:00 AM ON THE FIRST WORKDAY AFTER A SNOW STORM. You need to temporarily remove your vehicle from all PHA parking lots and can return to the lot once the area has been completely cleared by PHA Maintenance Staff. Cars can be moved to street parking during this time.
  • The maintenance staff will not be going to your door to ask you to move your vehicle. Vehicles that are not removed by the 9:00 AM deadline will be towed at owner’s expense.
  • To help us keep the main sidewalks clear, please DO NOT park your car on any part of a sidewalk. Please keep your car at least two feet away from sidewalks to allow proper snow removal. DO NOT park your car in front of PHA storage sheds.

McGaulley Avenue tenants:

You need to temporarily remove your vehicle from all PHA parking lots and McGaulley Avenue street parking by 9:00 AM on the first workday after a snow storm and can return to these parking spaces once the area has been completely cleared by PHA Maintenance Staff. Vehicles can be temporarily moved to the back parking lot on McGaulley Avenue or to the one-way side street off from McGaulley Avenue during this time. Vehicles that are not removed by the 9:00 AM deadline will be towed at owner’s expense.
