Just a reminder that Plattsburgh Housing Authority will be Smoke-Free beginning Monday, July 30th. As stated in the No-Smoking Policy (which all tenants have signed), smoking/vaping will no longer be allowed in apartments, interior common areas, hallways, laundry rooms, stairways, offices, elevators or in outside areas within 25 feet of a building (family housing) or within 40 feet of a building (senior housing) effective July 30, 2018.
Attached below is information on local agencies that offer assistance if you are interested in managing nicotine cravings or are ready to quit. The UVM-Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital telephone number listed on the attachment (518-314-3633) is the contact number for Elise Rock (RN, Tobacco Cessation Counselor) who has been working with Plattsburgh Housing Authority to assist tenants who are ready to quit smoking.

On Friday, July 27th from 10 AM to 2 PM, the event will be held at the Plattsburgh Housing Authority at the end of McGaulley Avenue. You can navigate through a life-sized maze while testing your health know-how at every turn. The first 25 attendees to take the Better Choice Pledge will receive a prize!!!
