PHA Maintenance Procedures

During regular work hours, all maintenance and work order requests must be reported to the Maintenance Department at (518) 563 – 0430 Ext. 105.  There is no charge for routine repairs that are normal wear and tear.  We encourage residents to report routine maintenance repairs promptly.  Charges may result when the resident fails to report routine repairs and further damage occurs.

Report a Maintenance Emergency When the Office is Closed

The maintenance emergency telephone number is (518) 726 – 0543.  This is a cellular phone which is answered by the maintenance employee who is on call when the office is closed (this is not a long distance call).  Be sure to give your name and correct address and a brief description of the emergency problem.

What Is An Emergency?
  • Smoke Alarm Not Working Properly
  • No Heat
  • Major Water Leak
  • Toilet Overflow
  • Elevator Malfunction
  • Electrical Problem
  • No Hot Water
  • Broken Window
  • Refrigerator Malfunction

Emergency service employees will not respond to non-emergencies.  If the resident insists on immediate attention to a non-emergency call, the resident will be charged the time charged to the PHA by the employee or a minimum of one hour labor rate.  (Time and one-half is charged Monday through Saturday; double time is charged Sundays and holidays.)
