Schedule of Charges Effective April 1, 2004 Repairs/Maintenance:Reporting: There is no charge for normal wear and tear maintenance that is promptly reported to the Plattsburgh Housing Authority. Breakage, Damage, Loss, Resident Negligence: Charges shall be the cost of the materials and labor. The labor rate (base pay hourly rate plus benefits) is currently $23 per hour and subject to adjustments based on labor contracts. Please be reminded that do-it-yourself repairs frequently create extra charges. Hiring repairs done is more expensive that the PHA doing the repairs (We are non-profit). Unauthorized Coverings, Wallpaper, Paint, Contact Paper: Additional security deposit of $75 per room to cover actual cost of restoring the room to its original condition. Wallpaper Border (only) - Additional deposit of $25 per room Mowing Lawns: After resident has been put on notice to correct. Actual labor costs (minimum charge of $23) Trash Carts and Recycling Bins: Trash carts removed from sidewalks and returned to designated storage areas no later then next day 8am. (minimum charge $11.50, Recycling bins replacement cost $10.00) Exterminating: Extermination when residents fail to report problem shall be actual materials and labor cost.(minimum charge of $34) Other:
