Plattsburgh Housing Authority: Helping to Clear the Air!!
Are you a smoker and are you planning to quit within the next 30-45 days? If so, congratulations!!! To help you reach this goal, Plattsburgh Housing Authority is offering a FREE 7-week program on Tuesdays from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM from February 20th to April 3rd at the Russell H. Barnard Community Room (46 Flynn Avenue, Plattsburgh).
This program is limited to 10 participants. Participants will be given “The Butt Stops Here” Quitters workbook which includes information on the roadblocks to quitting and also provides you with a step-by-step guide to quitting. Refreshments will be offered at each of the 7 sessions and prizes will be awarded!! Contact Tammy Langley at 518-561-0720 ext 224 by February 14th in order to reserve your spot in this program.

Behavioral Health Services North now has a Mobile Crisis Team serving Clinton County. The team offers a 24-hour helpline at 1-866-5PREVENT (1-866-577-3836). Also, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 7:30 PM the team will have the ability to mobilize to better serve Clinton County residents.
The team is designed to respond to adult, child and adolescent mental health and substance abuse crises and to prevent crises resulting in emergency department visits.

The Clinton County Department of Health will be holding a FREE Rabies Clinic for dogs, cats, and ferrets on Tuesday, December 5th from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The clinic will be held at the City of Plattsburgh Department of Public Works (DPW) Building located at 215 Idaho Avenue, Plattsburgh.

On Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 7 PM at the Plattsburgh State Field House the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office is sponsoring a FREE event “An Evening with Ryan Leaf”.
Ryan Leaf is a former NFL quarterback who served prison time for burglary and drug possession. Leaf currently works as Program Ambassador for Transcend Recovery Community, a group of sober living houses in Los Angeles, Houston and New York.
