Punxsutawney Phils’ Groundhog’s Day Prediction is in!

With a winter storm of a possible 8 inches and cold temperatures that are well into the negatives you may be asking yourself how much longer do you have to put up with winter. Well, according to the worlds most famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, the answer is six more weeks.

As legend has it on Groundhog’s Day, depending on whether or not Phil sees his shadow will determine how much more winter we have to take. Today in Punxsutawney, PA, Phil predicted that there will in fact be six more weeks of winter.  So don’t pack up your snow boots and warm jackets just yet because we still have more hot chocolate weather coming our way.

Since 1887, Phil has given a forecast of more cold weather 102 times and while only predicting a break of an early spring 17 times.
